For seed preparation, I purchased an aerodynamic separator (SAD 5) at the time. I was convinced of its quality. But it had very low productivity for me. I must say that they have fully justified themselves and paid off with interest. This grain cleaner works in its class, and I don’t know any analogues. During operation, the grain cleaning machine has proven to be excellent. With its appearance, my yield increased by 40%. I can say that it has fully justified itself.

The SAD separator is very easy to operate. There is nothing complicated in adjusting these machines. All throttle valves in them are set in the required positions. Operators who control the calibration process, using radios, contact the operator of the main point where the main drive is installed, and from the main console they add or reduce the speed of the fans. When controlling the quality of the produced meal, we have established a certain fiber index, and we wanted to reduce it. For this purpose, after separation of the pulp, the obtained undergrind is sent again to the SAD separator for additional separation of husk particles from undergrind particles due to their different aerodynamic properties. It turned out that Kharkiv separators lack a vibrating tray. Because of this, the grain passage often gets clogged, or the seeds are poured unevenly; but in SAD, thanks to the vibrating tray, the grain passage does not get clogged, and each seed is spread over the entire width. Better blowing is achieved, and the output gives better results.

I met representatives of the “AEROMEH” plant at an exhibition in Kyiv. They made me a SAD-15 with a cyclone, with loading and unloading augers, and also put it on wheels. It is self-propelled. Moreover, it has an electric motor that uses up to 15 kW of energy. The product is loaded directly from the field. The SAD grain separator is very convenient to use and minimally costly in terms of labor. If the grain is dry, the unit is serviced by one person. When soybeans are wet, we install a sieve. Our soybeans are always perfect. The SAD separator both cleans and calibrates, and the seed grain is not damaged in it.

We already have three such units. First, we bought a grain separator designed for ten tons of grain, later, after a certain period of time, we purchased two twenty-ton units (SAD-20 separators). I note that they are constantly in operation. We improved them a bit, put them on wooden strips, and now we move them where needed. We even created a whole line from them, on which we perform drying and primary seed cleaning. SAD is good both for primary processing and for selecting elite seeds. I note that we are very satisfied with the separators. The SAD separator is very simple and understandable to farmers, and therefore easy to use and works efficiently.

I bought SAD-20 in December 2017. I brought the separator from the city of Kreminna, Luhansk region. Of course, there was no new harvest yet, and I didn’t have the opportunity to run it at full capacity. But I still really wanted to try the unit, so I decided to clean buckwheat. The result is excellent. We also cleaned millet. The result satisfied us. Although I am somewhat upgrading this grain cleaning machine. I already bought two conveyors: one loading and one for unloading, added a hopper to increase capacity, and also making a container for seven to eight cubes to pour uncleaned grain there. We will feed the grain into the hopper for cleaning with a conveyor.

I want to say a huge Thank You!!! to the plant’s technical support service: vandals broke our control panel, violating all the contactor block wiring. Our SAD-10 is 13 years old, naturally there is no diagram, the new ones are already a bit different, the plant’s engineers “hung” with us on the phone for two days – immediately sent a schematic diagram, then quickly drew a wiring diagram… Everything works. Thanks guys, it’s a pleasure to work!!!!
